Mar Athanasius College of Engineering
pioneered engineering education in
central Kerala with a history of
excellence and innovation since 1961.
Managed by the Mar Athanasius College
Association, aided by the Government of
Kerala, the college was one of the
earliest and the topmost engineering
colleges in Kerala. MACE, as it is
popularly known, was the first
engineering college in Asia under
Christian management. The college offers
undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral
programs in various branches of
engineering and computer applications,
affiliated to KTU and approved by AICTE.
The NBA accredited full-fledged
departments, namely Mechanical
Engineering, Civil Engineering,
Electrical and Electronics Engineering,
Electronics and Communication
Engineering, Computer Science and
Engineering, and Computer Applications,
apart from the two auxiliary departments
of Mathematics and Science and
Humanities has been consistently ranked
among the top engineering colleges in
Kerala and India by various agencies and
surveys. The college is the first in
Kerala to be accredited by the NAAC with
an A+ grade. The college has a very
active IEEE Student Branch which is
currently the largest in the Kerala
Section. MACE has the vision to be a
center of excellence in engineering
education and research that fosters
innovation, entrepreneurship,
leadership, and social responsibility.
MACE has a mission to provide a quality
education that meets the needs and
expectations of the stakeholders; to
create an environment that promotes
research, development, consultancy, and
extension activities; to nurture
creativity, critical thinking,
problem-solving skills, and ethical
values among students; to collaborate
with industry, acadgemia, government,
and society for mutual benefit; and to
contribute to the advancement of
technology and the welfare of humanity.
